DEET (OFF! Skintastic Spray, Deep Woods, etc) is effective. Higher concentrations don't work BETTER...they just last LONGER.
For adults, Health Canada suggests up to 30% DEET...it lasts 2 to 6 hours. Suggest up to 10% DEET for children aged 6 months to 12 years. Don't recommend DEET for kids less than 6 months.
