Oral estradiol/progesterone (Bijuva) and vaginal estradiol (Imvexxy) will be two new options for menopausal symptoms.

Bijuva is the first Health Canada-approved combo of “body identical” or “bioidentical” estrogen and progesterone in one oral capsule for vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats, etc).

It’s a fixed dose of estradiol 1 mg and progesterone 100 mg...similar to oral micronized estrogen (Estrace) plus micronized progesterone (Prometrium). These are also bioidenticals.
