How do "statin" doses compare? Zocor 10 mg is APPROX equal to Mevacor 20 mg...Pravachol 20 mg ...Lescol 40 mg...or Lipitor 5 mg. These are somewhat equivalent to a new one that's coming, Baycol 0.3 mg.
But keep in mind that these are just estimates. Patients should be monitored after a switch...and doses adjusted as needed.
