Varivax, the first chickenpox vaccine

Merck is now introducing Varivax, the first chickenpox vaccine.

It will be given to infants at 12 months...at the same time as their MMR vaccine.

It can also be given to older children and adults who haven't had chickenpox. People age 13 and up need two doses...given 4 to 8 weeks apart.
