Serono Canada is now marketing Crinone, a vaginal gel containing 8% micronized progesterone.

For now, it's approved only for treating infertility...as an alternative to progesterone injections or suppositories.

But some physicians might try Crinone for hormone replacement, PMS, etc, instead of compounded progesterone caps or suppositories.
