Glaxo Wellcome has issued a new warning of severe bronchospasm in some patients taking Relenza (zanamivir).
Cases of severe bronchospasm and respiratory arrest have been reported...mainly in patients who already have respiratory problems.
Be careful NOT to give Relenza to patients with underlying respiratory diseases...asthma, COPD, etc.
