Health Canada just approved a new triptan for migraines called Axert (almotriptan)...from Janssen-Ortho.

It's the fifth triptan to hit the market...after Imitrex, Zomig, Maxalt, and Amerge.

Axert seems to work about as well as Imitrex and Zomig... more effective than Amerge...but not as fast as Maxalt.
