first "biologic therapy" for allergy-related asthma, called Xolair (zo-lair)

Health Canada has approved the first "biologic therapy" for allergy-related asthma, called Xolair (zo-lair).

It's only for patients with moderate to severe asthma triggered by an allergic reaction...only when inhaled steroids aren't enough...and only in patients 12 and older.
