Patients often use drug patches incorrectly.

This is a big deal. Misusing patches can result in under- or over-dosing...and increased costs for replacements.

For example, RESERVOIR patches such as Estraderm, NicoDerm, and Duragesic should not be cut...this could allow the drug to leak out of the reservoir and increase the risk of toxicity.
