OTC cough and cold products for young children
New label changes will have parents asking for advice about OTC cough and cold products for young children.
Last year, companies took INFANT cough/cold products off the market. Now labels on CHILDREN'S products will say to avoid use in kids under age 4. Some will also caution about use in kids under 6.
This is due to serious adverse events in young children. Most problems come from dose errors...misuse...and accidental ingestion.
