We're getting questions about whether spacers work as well with the new "HFA" inhalers as they did with older "CFC" inhalers.
In fact, spacers can be MORE effective in getting drug into the lungs with HFA inhalers than with the CFC versions.
This is because CFC inhalers have a large, forceful spray, so most of the drug deposits on spacer walls...instead of in the lungs.
