ORAL corticosteroids are known for increasing blood sugar. But this can also happen after using topical, inhaled, or injectable steroids.
For example, a patient's blood sugar can jump after using high doses of topical clobetasol (Temovate, etc)...or after getting a methylprednisolone (Depo-Medrol, etc) injection in the knee.
