You'll see a new oral combo med for treating hepatitis C called Harvoni (har-VOE-nee, ledipasvir/sofosbuvir).Harvoni is another game changer. It's effective against the most common form of hepatitis C...doesn't need to be combined with ribavirin or injectable interferon...and it's dosed once daily.
Expect most patients to take Harvoni 90 mg/400 mg once daily for 12 weeks. But don't be surprised if patients with low hepatitis virus levels take it for as few as 8 weeks...and those who've failed other therapies and have liver disease continue it for 24 weeks.
