Please see updated information from Health Canada concerning the effectiveness of emergency contraceptives in heavier women.

Health Canada will be scrutinizing whether levonorgestrel emergency contraceptives (Plan B, Next Choice, etc) are effective in heavier women.

European regulators are now warning these are less effective in women 75 kg or more...and NOT effective in women 80 kg or more.

This is probably due to lower hormone levels in heavier women.
