You'll need to know the basics about non-sterile compounding...to prevent dosing errors, accidental contamination, and other mishaps.

Work in a clean area...and ensure you and the tools you're working with are clean, too. For example, wash your hands for at least 20 seconds to prevent dirt or bacteria from contaminating the mixture.

Ensure you have the right equipment for the task...and that it's in good working condition. Using a scale that isn't calibrated...or a large cylinder to measure a small amount of liquid...can lead to dosing errors.
