Listen for Gliptin Patients Complaining of Severe Joint Pain

New warnings from experts will spur questions about whether "gliptin" diabetes meds (Januvia, Onglyza, etc) cause joint pain.

This is stemming from reports of patients on gliptins who developed severe, and sometimes disabling, pain in their joints.

The theory is that gliptins MIGHT lead to an enhanced inflammatory response in the body...causing pain and possibly swelling.
