Some postmenopausal women will get Evenity (ee-VEN-ih-tee, romosozumab), a new injectable med for osteoporosis.

Evenity increases bone growth AND decreases bone breakdown. Other osteoporosis meds (alendronate, Forteo, etc) do one OR the other.

Expect Evenity to be saved for high-risk women...such as those with a prior fracture on a bisphosphonate (alendronate, etc) or with multiple spine fractures.
