You’ll hear buzz about Leqvio (inclisiran), a new Rx injectable to lower “bad” cholesterol, or LDL.
Think of Leqvio as similar to the PCSK9 inhibitors, Praluent (alirocumab) and Repatha (evolocumab).
It’ll be an option to add to a statin (atorvastatin, etc) in patients with heart disease or VERY high cholesterol that’s hereditary.
