Watch Out for Preservative-Free Bimatoprost for Glaucoma
Bimatoprost 0.03% (Zimed PF) will be the first eye drop for glaucoma that is preservative-free AND multidose.
It’s a prostaglandin for the eye...like latanoprost and travoprost. These all lower eye pressure by increasing fluid outflow in the eye and are dosed once daily.
Vistitan 0.03% and Lumigan RC 0.01% are also bimatoprost, but contain the preservative benzalkonium chloride.
