It targets a different viral enzyme than oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and is given as a single oral dose...compared to orally bid for 5 days with oseltamivir.

Baloxavir is only for treatment in patients 12 years and up...oseltamivir is for treatment OR prevention in patients 1 year and up.
