    There's a huge controversy brewing about which components of Premarin are therapeutic.

    This whole issue has come to a head, again, because two U.S. manufacturers asked the FDA to approve generics for Premarin.

    In Canada, generic conjugated estrogens (C.E.S., etc) are on the market...but Premarin is still more widely used. Only a few provinces allow pharmacists to interchange C.E.S. and Premarin.
