new form of salbutamol called Xopenex
You'll hear about a new form of salbutamol called Xopenex. It's being introduced now in the U.S...later in Canada.
Xopenex is levalbuterol...the R-isomer of salbutamol. Salbutamol is a mixture of both "R" and "S" isomers.
This is the latest example of the trend towards separating isomers...to see if one is more effective or less toxic.
