TNKase (T-N-Kase, tenecteplase), a new "third generation" thrombolytic for heart attacks
Hoffmann-La Roche is now introducing TNKase (T-N-Kase, tenecteplase), a new "third generation" thrombolytic for heart attacks.
TNKase and the other "third generation" med Retavase (reteplase) are faster and easier to give than older thrombolytics.
TNKase is made by substituting three amino acids of the thrombolytic Activase (alteplase, tPA).
