Viagra does NOT seem to increase the risk of heart attack in most men

Viagra does NOT seem to increase the risk of heart attack in most men...even men with hypertension, coronary artery disease, diabetes, or hyperlipidemia.

Heart attacks in these men are probably due to underlying conditions...not the Viagra. Men with erectile dysfunction often have atherosclerosis or other cardiac risk factors.

On the other hand, avoid giving Viagra, Levitra, or Cialis to men with UNSTABLE heart disease...recent heart attack, unstable angina, severe heart failure, etc.
