Crestor "reversing" heart disease
There's quite a buzz about Crestor "reversing" heart disease.
A new study shows SHRINKING of atherosclerotic plaques in some patients taking Crestor 40 mg/day for 2 years. Their LDL was lowered by about half to 1.6 mmol/L...and HDL increased by almost 15%.
Some experts suspect that this combination of very low LDL plus increased HDL is the reason for plaque regression.
