There's disagreement on whether a booster dose is needed for pneumococcal vaccines (Pneumovax 23, Pneumo 23).
The Public Health Agency of Canada says to give it ONCE to adults 65 and older...or earlier for anyone who is immunocompromised or has certain chronic diseases.
They say to revaccinate high-risk patients after 5 years if they were older than 10 when they got their first dose...or after 3 years if they got their first dose at 10 years or younger.
