two new ORAL blood thinners called Xarelto (rivaroxaban) and Pradaxa (dabigatran)

You'll hear about two new ORAL blood thinners called Xarelto (rivaroxaban) and Pradaxa (dabigatran).

They're not out yet...but they'll be BIG if and when they come. They may be used instead of warfarin (Coumadin) or heparins (Lovenox, etc).

These new meds are taken orally...don't require routine lab monitoring...and will likely have fewer interactions than warfarin.
