You'll see new warnings that "PPI" acid reducers (omeprazole, Nexium, etc) might increase the risk of Clostridium difficile diarrhea.
FDA is on this now. Clostridium difficile (C. diff) can cause severe diarrhea and potentially fatal inflammation of the colon.
Clostridium difficile seems to be more common in PPI users.
