New warnings will raise concerns about a possible increased risk of miscarriage with a single dose of oral fluconazole (Diflucan One, etc).
Vaginal "azole" antifungals (miconazole, etc) are usually used first for vaginal yeast infections, or candidiasis, in pregnancy.
OTC single-dose oral fluconazole is sometimes used instead because it's more convenient than using a vaginal product for a week.
