Vraylar (cariprazine) will be a new atypical antipsychotic for schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

It’s an oral capsule taken once daily.

Expect it to be saved for patients who don’t respond to or can’t tolerate lower-cost generic atypicals, such as aripiprazole or risperidone.
