You’ll see more focus on managing severe bleeding caused by oral anticoagulants (OACs)...partly due to new expert guidance.

Up to 10% of gastrointestinal bleeding and 50% of bleeds within the brain in patients on OACs lead to death.

We know that vitamin K reverses bleeding due to warfarin...but it doesn’t work with newer oral anticoagulants, such as dabigatran (Pradaxa).
