Mictoryl Is the Latest Overactive Bladder Med for Adults and Children

Mictoryl (MIK-toh-ril, propiverine) will compete for a place in an already crowded market of overactive bladder drugs.

Mictoryl is similar to tolterodine (Detrol LA, etc) or darifenacin (Enablex, etc). They're all "antimuscarinics" used to relax the bladder muscles to reduce urination frequency, urge, and incontinence.

Expect Mictoryl to be saved for patients who can't take or tolerate immediate-release oxybutynin.
