Roche is introducing two new drugs for advanced breast cancer...Xeloda (capecitabine) and Herceptin (trastuzumab).
Xeloda is a prodrug of 5-FU (5-fluorouracil).
It's taken ORALLY and metabolized to 5-FU in tumour cells.
