Certain ethnic groups are still using the NSAID metamizole for pain and fever.
It's often called "Mexican aspirin" and goes by many brand names...Busprina...Conmel...Dalmasin...Neo-Melubrina...Prodolina.
Metamizole, also known as dipyrone, was banned years ago. It causes agranulocytosis, neutropenia, leukopenia, and aplastic anemia.
