Here's the latest on which antiepileptic drugs interact with oral contraceptives (OCs).

Carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarb, primidone, and topiramate (Topamax) can interact with OCs. These antiepileptics reduce levels of estrogen and progestin and therefore make OCs less effective.

Valproic acid, gabapentin (Neurontin), and lamotrigine (Lamictal) don't seem to interact with OCs. These drugs don't induce hepatic enzymes.
